The kingdom of God is compared to a man who scatters seed on the ground before it grows. Similarly, the Word of God must be sown in our hearts before a harvest is expected. After sowing, the seed develops from the blade, ear to the full grain. This means that we cannot become mature Christians at the time of conversion. Fruit bearing is a result of gradual and consistent growth process. We grow in God as we desire the milk of this world (1 Peter 2:2). This growth cannot be explained naturally. What I will beseech you therefore, is for you to allow the Word of God in you, so that the Word of God will penetrate into your life. You must not therefore internalize not just a few scripture passage, but you must accept all parts of the Bible and you will be amazed at the spiritual growth that will occur. (Mark 4:26-32)
Again, the seed of the Word is compared to a mustard seed which grow into a by tree and gives shade to birds. Similarly, the Word of God in a life of a man may seem inactive and neglected as an ordinary seed. But when it blossoms, it turns such a person into a spiritual giant that will succor to “baby Christians” and draw the unsaved to Jesus Christ.
The kingdom of God can be said to be about ordinary people who believe and trust in God to the extent that what God says in His Word penetrates into their lives, changes their attitude and approach to issues in ways that God is glorified. I will admonish you to change your mindset towards heaven and amend your ways of life if necessary to please God in your service to Him and to humanity. God is God and He changeth not; He is ever ready to transform and change your life for good and when that happens, you will live a life of peace and happiness because Jesus Christ will be the hallmark and trademark of your life. Your mindset should change towards the kingdom of heaven and you shouldn’t be thinking like those of this world because you are entirely different. The reason why I say you are entirely different is because of Jesus Christ in you and His Word that you have made your lamp. It is my prayer that the power in the Word of God should touch and change your life for the better.
