US presidential candidate, 'Deez Nuts' polling 9 per cent in North Carolina

A United States presidential candidate by the name of Deez Nuts, polling 9 per cent in North Carolina, has been unmasked as a 15-year-old from Wallingford, Iowa.
Deez Nuts - who filed a form with the Federal Election Commission to run for president - is actually high school student Brady Olson, the Daily Beast reported. Olson said he was inspired by news that Kentucky cat Limberbutt McCubbins was running for president.

Deez Nuts became a Twitter meme after a Public Policy Polling poll in North Carolina yesterday showed that in a race with Democrat and Republican front-runners Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Deez Nuts would draw 9 per cent support. Rolling Stone reported that Deez Nuts did well in PPP polls in Minnesota with 8 per cent and Iowa with 7 per cent. The North Carolina poll found that 6 per cent of voters had a favourable opinion of Deez Nuts, with 13 per cent unfavourable and 81 per cent not sure.
"The next step is to get some party nominations, like the Minnesota Independence Party or the Modern Whig Party," Olson told the Daily Beast. "It would also be great to find a VP, preferably McCubbins because the Nuts/McCubbins ticket sounds amazing."
