Thief steals car with baby strapped in back

A brazen thief drove off in a car with a 10-month-old baby strapped in the back in this shocking video.
He sped off in the silver Volvo station wagon after the baby's mother went inside a shop in Cambridge, United Kingdom, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday (UK time), the Daily Mail reported.
The child's mother saw the car being taken and ran after it while shouting for the offender to stop.

It pulled up around 100 yards down the road and the thief abandoned it before getting into a blue car.
The baby, which was strapped into a car seat at the time, was recovered safe and well.

Police are looking for a man, who had been a passenger in what is believed to be a blue Peugeot, which pulled up nearby just before the theft.

Policeman Carl Harris, of Cambridgeshire police, said: "The car was stolen in broad daylight in a matter of seconds by a brazen thief who got more than he bargained for.
"Fortunately, the child was unharmed but this was a deeply disturbing incident which could have had terrible repercussions."
Anyone with information should call Cambridgeshire Police on 101.
