Two separate hand swat incidents between US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania have been captured on camera during their first official visit abroad, raising speculations about first family troubles.
On Tuesday, First Lady Melania coolly snubbed Trump as they stepped off the presidential plane in the Italian capital Rome. Trump was seen waving to the crowd while reaching for Melania’s hand. The first lady, however, quickly raised her hand to brush her hair in what appeared to be a snub of her husband.

Another similar incident was captured on camera on Monday, when the couple arrived in Israel. Walking on the red carpet following a formal welcoming ceremony, Trump seemed to turn to grab his wife’s hand, but was apparently swatted away by Melania.

Israeli daily Haaretz published a slow motion of a video of the moment on its Twitter account, writing, “Well, this is embarrassing.”
Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama hold hands during a ceremony in 2015.
The White House has reportedly not yet responded to media requests to comment on the incidents.
Later in the day, the first lady joined Trump at his meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Following the incidents, a former White House photographer published photos of ex-President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama to remind how the former first couple used to hold hands in public.
