Major Catastrophe As 5 Oil Wells Go Up In Flames In Ondo State

Breaking reports have it that, no less than five oil wells have been engulfed in fire. This is coming after a huge explosion occurred in the Ajegunle Ikorigho oil- rich community in the southwestern state of Ondo.

The oil field which was named ‘Ojumole’ located in Ikorigho land has Ojumole-Ikorigho, Isan-West and Isan field, Parable field, Malu field, Ororo and Opokaba oil fields.

According to The Nation, the communities that were affected include Otumara, Ikorigho, Ajegunle-Ikorigho, Zion Ikorigho, Iluayo, Kendo Ayeren and Ehinmoghan-Ikorigho.

The cause of the explosion has not been ascertained at press time.
