The inclination of foreigners, most commonly Americans, to refer to any country on the African Continent as Africa, is on that has long rubbed nerves raw.
Today, a foreign traveler and blogger has come under heavy fire for posting a picture with the caption that they were stranded in the "Middle of Africa".
This post has been causing ripples on social media as many have insulted her for this "derogatory" statement about the 53 countries in Africa.
