The wife to Omoyele Sowore, Opeyemi, has once again taken to world television to plead for the release of her husband who has remained in the custody of the Nigerian secret forces since August 2019.
Live on CNN, Opeyemi Sowore, asked for the assistance of the UN in rescuing her husband from the clutches of the Nigerian government, citing that he isn't the only victim being held the the DSS on various counts dredged up by the government.
She also discussed the social media and hate speech bills and how they seek to curtail press freedom as well as general freedom of speech for all Nigerian citizens.
