The Nigerian federal government has recently announced a N5 billion palliative for each state, including the federal capital territory (FCT), to alleviate the effects of the removal of the petrol subsidy.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state shared this news after the national economic council (NEC) meeting, which was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The NEC comprises governors from all 36 states, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and other government officials.
