Mr Aloba Joseph father of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloaba a.k.a Mohbad, has warned people not to attempt touching or removing the deceased without his permission.
Mr Aloaba disclosed this in a viral video shared on TikTok on Sunday, probably in reaction to the growing requests and demands from some influential individuals that his body be released to them for a befitting burial.
The man’s outburst may have been informed by statements from Nollywood actress Tonto Dike and singer Bella Shmurda, requesting the release of Mohbad’s body for proper burial.
In his speech, Mohbad’s father expressed fears that some people intend to go and take his child’s body. That his son was answering his name before he died, and still bears his name upon death, so nobody should go and take away his body without his consent.
“If they want to do anything there, I should be the one to authorize them, therefore nobody should go and do anything with Mohbad’s body without my permission.
“Where we are now is to ensure justice for mohbad, yet some people are in a hurry to have him buried. How can he get justice if he gets buried without proper investigations? he queried.
“Let’s get justice for him first and conduct the DNA and other necessary tests first before talking about burial”, he pleaded with his audience and the general public.
