The presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu is not interfering with the judiciary in regard to the court decisions on the 2023 elections.
Additionally, they dismiss assertions that Tinubu has any intention of imposing a one-party state in Nigeria, responding to allegations made by the Peoples Democratic Party and its 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The statement from President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, addresses the recent court of appeal judgments favoring the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has left the opposition, especially the PDP, expressing dissatisfaction.
Onanuga urges the PDP and Atiku to refrain from spreading false alarms regarding the court decisions, emphasizing that such allegations are deliberately crafted to unnecessarily stir unrest and dissatisfaction in the country.
According to the statement, these claims exist solely in the imagination of the PDP and the former vice president.
