The National Association of Akoko North East Students (NAANES) has presented cash gift to no fewer than three secondary schools in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, for their outstanding performance at a quiz competition.
The quiz organized by NAANES distributed note books and also awarded 95,000 to Victory College Ikare for emerging first position in the competition, while Mount Camel Girls' Secondary school and Agboriki Comprehensive High School got 65,000 and 35,000 respectively for emerging second and third postions.
Speaking at the maiden programme, the President of the Association, Comr. Kolawole Abass Olamilekan, expressed appreciation to those who contributed in no measure to the success of the epoch making event.
He said, “I thank everybody that contributed towards the success of the event either in monetary aspects or in kind. I appreciate everybody that is present at this venue of the event”
“I call on our political office holders, Philanthropist and some others to keep supporting like this so that our students will feel motivated whenever they're participating and be able to showcase their talent.”
However, Abass urged students in Ondo State to shun Internet fraud also known as Yahoo-Yahoo, adding that the surest way to be great in life is to imbibe the kernel of hardwork.
Prominent personalities who graced the event includes: The Proprietor Kidcity Secondary School; Hon. Kola Adewale, Akoko Youth forum Social Director; Comr. Bello Ezekiel Adeyemi, Hon. Prince Feyisayo Ayodele, Prof Ajagunna Ibrahim, Hon. Ife Ehindero, NAANES immediate past President; Comrade Suleiman Naheem, NACAS National President; Amb. Olomosaye Olatunde and other members of the community and other invited guests.
