The Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solution Centre, Ibadan, Mrs Oluronke Esan, has urged Nigerians, especially Christians to praise God even more than they pray and celebrate this Christmas.
Esan gave the advice during the church’s Christmas Sunday service in Ibadan.
Citing Psalm 103, the RCCG Pastor urged Nigerians to imbibe the culture of praising, worshipping and thanking God in spite of all odds.
She said that when faithful offers praises more than prayers to God He comes down Himself and attends to their needs.
“There is no world or national economic situation that our God cannot handle.
“Let’s use the remaining days of this year to praise and thank Him more, we have been praying since January so let’s use the remaining seven days this year for thanksgiving.
“Human beings tend to sympathise with people than to rejoice, let’s imbibe the culture of always dancing and rejoicing, let’s celebrate His mercies and faithfulness.
“The testimony you give today will determine what God is going to do in the remaining days of this year, praise never failed me and can never fail anyone,” she said.
Esan also urged the faithful to learn to give especially this season as it is more blessed to give than to receive.
She called on them to pray not only to be blessed but to also be a blessing.
“The essence of Christmas is to make people happy and be a blessing, learn to give no matter how little.
“Always count your blessings more than your challenges, if you are the type that always give thanks and reach out to people, your hands will never be empty,” she said.
Esan however decreed that the rest of this year will be the best for the country, church and citizens. (NAN)
