A political group under the auspices of Concerned youths for unity and development of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, has expressed support for the leadership agenda of the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
This was even as they called for support to foster unity in Akoko North West Local Government, particularly the Constituency 1, ahead of forthcoming the bye-election for Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency.
The group stated this in a statement on Friday by its Convener, Temitayo Azeez.
“In Akoko Northwest, the spirit of brotherhood has been a guiding principle that has fostered unity, progress, and development in our local government. With Akoko Northwest Constituency 2 having successfully accomplished their duties for three consecutive terms in the federal house of representatives, and now with Akoko Northwest Constituency 1 entering their second term, it is crucial that we prioritize brotherhood and support each other, acknowledging our shared destinies within the local government”
“It is commendable that the people have exercised their democratic right to choose their representatives, even voting for one of their own to ensure a sense of brotherhood and familiarity within the local government. As representatives take up their positions, it is important to recognize that if they are indeed our brothers, we should not raise objections to their completion of their tenure.”
“Aligning with Leadership Agenda:
In addition to promoting brotherhood within the local government, we extend our respect and alignment with the agenda of the performing Honourable Minister of Interior, our esteemed leader, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo. By setting aside division and embracing unity, we are in a better position to work towards achieving more groundbreaking accomplishments in our federal constituency, Ondo State, and Nigeria as a whole.”
“The power of Unity:
Unity among the youth, the aged, and leaders is crucial for progress and development. By coming together, we can pool our resources, ideas, and skills to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we can embark on a journey that transcends political affiliations, as we focus on the overall betterment of our federal constituency.”
“Now more than ever, it is imperative that we prepare ourselves for future achievements. As we unite and set aside our differences, we can collectively plan and strategize for the growth and development of our federal constituency. By leveraging our diverse talents and abilities, we can ensure that our voices are heard, our perspectives are considered, and our communities thrive.”
“Emphasizing on unity within our local government is not just essential, but also a testament to our unity and shared goals. Let us continue to support our representatives, acknowledging them as our brothers, and working hand in hand towards progress. As we align with the agenda of our leader, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, let us seize the opportunity to be united, driven by a formidable house towards bringing more infrastructural and human capital developments into our LG, Ondo State and Nigeria at large.”
