A prominent Niger Delta leader and entrepreneur, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, has said that his utmost priority is to pursue peace and development of Ondo State and the Niger Delta region rather than toeing the path of war.
Ajube, who was reacting to allegation that he attacked the office of Tantita Security Services Limited in Ondo State and destroyed valuable properties and items of the security firm, said that he was a man of peace.
The Niger Delta leader stated this in his response to the allegations by his lawyer, Olusola Oke which was made available to News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) on Sunday in Akure.
NAN reports that the allegation was made by Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, on Feb.12, alleging that Ajube threatened to kill the Commander of Tantita Security Firm, Chief Idowu Asonja, if he refused to evacuate his team from Ondo State.
Ajube, the Beleukoriwei of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, said that stated that he had massive investments in the state, therefore, he would not engage in anything that could truncate the existing peace and tranquillity of the state.
“ Our denies each and all the allegations made against him by Chief Idowu Afonja and his Tantita team who are the authors of the false publication under reference.
“ Our client is a responsible, peace-loving and proud Nigerian citizen of Ondo State origin. He is a security expert . A very successful businessman with oil and gas, construction , and education and sports.
“ His investments are too massive in Ondo State not to be interested in the peace and good governance of the stated
“ Let them look for another person to call out for war, we are for peace,” he stated.
Tantita Security Services has a subsisting contract with the Nigerian Government to protect oil pipelines and prevent incidences of crude oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
