Kolawole Babatunde, the immediate past Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development, has called on the youths in Ondo State to support the governorship ambition of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain made the call on Monday in Akure, the state capital, while receiving some youths who declared implicit support for Aiyedatiwa.
Kolawole who is the State Director of Youths and Sports for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) said the good deeds of the Governor would seamlessly earn him the APC gubernatorial ticket.
"I want to assure you all of Governor Aiyedatiwa's unwavering dedication to sustaining and expanding empowerment initiatives for young people. It is important we work hard to secure victory for the Governor in both the primaries and the governorship election. It's crucial that we work together with unity and diligence towards achieving this common goal.
“In summary, the meeting showcased the strong support and confidence of Owo Local Government youths in Governor Aiyedatiwa's leadership, and our collective determination to ensure his success in the forthcoming elections. Our commitment highlights the vital role of youth engagement in shaping political outcomes."
Earlier, the youths under the auspices Youth For Change, promised to work for Aiyedatiwa, stressing that the group had been in existence since 2022.
The Chairman of the group, Tope Balogun and Deputy, Balogun Falodun, stressed the group's enduring connection with the Aketi Group since 2012, acknowledging Governor Aiyedatiwa's continuous engagement within the group.
They underscored the Governor's dedication to youth empowerment and voiced their confidence in his capacity to advocate for their interests, acknowledging the significant role youths play in the electorate.
