-Governor Pledges Improved Infrastructure for Riverine Communities
As part of his ongoing campaign for re-election ahead of the November 16 governorship polls, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, embarked on a tour of several communities in Ese Odo Local Government on Tuesday. The Governor engaged with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and residents during the visit.
In addition to receiving a warm reception from the locals, Governor Aiyedatiwa secured key endorsements from traditional rulers across the area. His Royal Highness, Anananawe of Bolowou, (Pere) Judge Ugulapelewei Jemine, welcomed the Governor at Bolowou, praising his administration’s commitment to development in the state.
"We are not surprised by the infrastructural progress we see today because your administration has shown consistent dedication to the people of Ondo State. We also appreciate the appointments of our sons and daughters into political offices, which highlights your recognition of the talents within our communities," said the monarch, offering blessings and voicing strong support for Aiyedatiwa’s re-election bid.
The Anananawe of Bolowou further pointed out pressing concerns in education and healthcare that require urgent government attention, while affirming the unwavering backing of his people come election day.
The Governor also visited the General Overseer of Zion Mission, Rt. Rev. Princewill Epistle Jemine (JP), who praised Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and promised the church's continuous prayers and support leading up to the November 16 election.
High Chief Bibopere Ajube, a prominent figure from Ese Odo, rallied the people to unite behind the Governor, encouraging them to vote massively for his re-election.
At Arogbo Kingdom, Governor Aiyedatiwa was blessed by His Imperial Majesty, Pere Z.D. Egbunu Esq (JP), the Agadagba of Arogbo, further cementing royal support for his candidacy. Similarly, enthusiastic crowds welcomed him in Kiribo and Igbobini, where he reiterated his commitment to development projects in the region.
"We have initiated several projects, including the improvement of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities. If re-elected, we will continue to deliver on these promises and make Ondo State a better place," Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the people.
He called on supporters to come out in large numbers on November 16 to cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging them to stay committed to a grassroots campaign effort.
Throughout the tour, Governor Aiyedatiwa received blessings and pledges of support from monarchs, religious leaders, and residents, with many defectors from other political parties joining forces with the APC in anticipation of the upcoming election.
