The electorate in Ondo State has been urged to take a decisive stand against the All Progressives Congress (APC) by voting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi, in the upcoming governorship election.
This call was made by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, in his bi-monthly newsletter, a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent.
Governor Makinde emphasized that the time has come for Nigerians, starting with the voters in Ondo State, to respond to the economic challenges they are currently facing by rejecting the APC’s candidate in the election.
"Ondo State serves as a litmus test for Nigerians to demonstrate that their frustration and dissatisfaction can drive meaningful change," Makinde stated. He further added that the PDP remains the only party capable of rescuing the nation, and the people must make a clear statement with their votes on Saturday.
"I want to encourage everyone in Ondo State to come out en masse this Saturday and make a bold statement with their votes," the governor said. "Let all supporters of good governance stand up and declare that enough is enough with the APC's anti-people policies."
Makinde concluded by urging voters to rally around the PDP, describing it as the only party capable of steering Nigeria out of its current economic woes.
