The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the nomination and administrative fees for candidates seeking positions in the local government elections scheduled for July 12 in Lagos State.
These fees are outlined in the party’s election guidelines, which were co-signed by Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the APC chairman, and Dr. Adeola Jokomba, the party’s secretary.
According to the guidelines released yesterday, chairmanship candidates are required to pay a nomination fee of N5 million, along with an additional N500,000 for administrative costs.
For female chairmanship candidates, the nomination fee is set at N2.5 million, with the same administrative fee of N500,000.
The APC has also announced that candidates under 40 years old will receive a 50% discount on their nomination fee but will still need to pay the full administrative fee of N500,000.
Additionally, the party has waived the nomination fee for candidates with disabilities, who will only be required to pay an administrative fee of N250,000.
