Remo Secondary School 88/93 Set Surprises National President, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, with Grand Birthday Celebration
In a moving display of loyalty and affection, the 88/93 Class Set of the Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA) honored their National President, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, with a surprise birthday celebration that was as grand as it was emotional.
The event, held at the prestigious Marriott Hotel in Lagos, was the culmination of months of secret planning that began as early as January, coordinated closely with Aare Adetola’s wife, who played a pivotal role in keeping the arrangements confidential.
The atmosphere was electric as classmates reunited to celebrate one of their own in spectacular fashion. The 88/93 Set went all out, presenting Aare Adetola with luxury gifts valued at several million naira. The event was further enlivened by virtual participation from classmates in the diaspora, including members from the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Notable participants included Segun Osho, Rev. Fr. Oshitimehin, Sade Odesanya, Akeem Elegbeji, Gboyega Solarin, Johnson Olumuyiwa Sanya, Tope Otunba, Semeton Amosu, Yemisi Olowu, Bukky Alli, Bunmi Ojutialayo, Bolaji Desalu, Wasiu Talabi, Azeez Awolaja, Jimmy Adetayo, and Bisoye Sholuade, whose presence added a deeply emotional dimension to the occasion.
The meticulous coordination that ensured the event’s success was largely credited to the Class Set Governor, Engr. Bola Owolabi Oladeinde, whose leadership and commitment were widely praised.
Visibly overwhelmed with emotion, Aare Adetola, in his appreciation speech, described the surprise as one of the most touching experiences of his life.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that such an elaborate and deeply moving celebration awaited me," he said. "You have honored me beyond words, and I am eternally grateful. May God bless and replenish each of you for your sacrifices, generosity, and steadfast love."
He also paid special tribute to his wife for her unwavering support and her role in keeping the surprise a secret.
The celebration was more than just a birthday party; it was a powerful reaffirmation of enduring friendship, unity, and loyalty. By honoring Aare Adetola Emmanuelking in such a remarkable manner, the RSSOSA 88/93 Set set a shining example of alumni solidarity and enduring brotherhood.
