All Progressives Congress (APC) in Uvwie Local Government Area have resolved to put past differences aside and work in unison under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON. Speaking during the event, the Minister proposed that we will all continue in the spirit of unity as we begin on a clean slate, speaking with one voice. He admonished his listeners to emulate the tendency to forgive expressed by Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and be ready to work for the perfect success of Mr President as well as the governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
He further acknowledged the former Uvwie PDP members who newly joined the APC for their humility and readiness to work with the existing Uvwie APC leadership structure even down to the various wards. Above all, the hon. Minister requested all to take after the character of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who has proven to be able to manage everyone, to explain the need for tolerance among Uvwie APC members.
The Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue and leader of the OSU Political Forum, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, began by commending the state governor for initiating the move that brought about the unity we are enjoying in throughout the state . He also commended the Aviation Minister, Barr Festus Keyamo, for making the people of Uvwie proud, expressing his readiness to work in collaboration with him.
The state's revenue boss mentioned that Uvwie is now one and would continue to be one, as this oneness is the beginning of better things to come. He called for the total support of Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, JP, commended Olorogun Festus Keyamo for hosting such a gathering, which happens to be the first in the political history of Uvwie local government. Hon. Ofoni expressed his joy seeing that Uvwie is speaking with one voice by virtue of the wise and applaudable decision of his excellency, Rt. hon. (Elder Sheriff Oborevwori).
Chief Ofoni assured his listeners that he is a council chairman to everyone in Uvwie local government, and his office is open to everyone without exception. He prayed that the unity in Uvwie gets strengthened as the day goes by.
After the successful unity meeting, a resolution was reached by all leaders and stakeholders. The resolution, issued after a high-level unity meeting held at Keyamo’s residence, signals a turning point for APC Uvwie, a region long fractured by internal rivalries.
“We have decided to put all differences of the past behind us and start on a clean slate,” the leaders declared in a resolution signed by Keyamo and top party figures, including DSIRS Executive Chairman, Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata and Uvwie LGA Chairman Chief Anthony Ofoni.
A central theme of the meeting was total inclusivity, with the party unanimously agreeing that “there are no old or new APC members” and that “we are all entitled to the same privileges and opportunities under the APC.”
The resolution also heralded a new era of unity, declaring that “Uvwie Kingdom will now speak in one voice under APC.”
The director of corporate services at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, Hon. Engr. Henry Minabowanre Baro praised the governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the wonderful and good works in infrastructural and human capital development. He said that Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State will support and vote massively for the president and the governor of Delta State again for 2027 Election.
In his words, "those of you who made sure Mr. President did not win the last election, we have forgiven you. Together, we will make Mr. President win the next election, and together we will make the governor of Delta State win the next election". Election in Uvwie will be peaceful and turn by turn.
Barrister Evelyn Oboro (former House of Representatives member) commended the efforts of the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development in bringing everyone together. In her words, "Nobody knows tomorrow' and that the governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, have united Uvwie and therefore, Uvwie is APC.

Sir Sunny Ekadeyan (Commissioner for Economic Planning), Sir Wilfred Ileleji (Chairman, Uvwie APC) and other leaders all agreed to live in unity as they work collaboratively to support the M.O.R.E. agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the RENEWED HOPE agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The meeting ended with a vote of confidence passed on both our performing governor, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Highpoint of the Unity meeting was a vote of confidence that was passed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the giant strides they have recorded in the state and the country at large.
The votes of confidence was moved by the Member Representing Uvwie Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Barr. Edafe Emarkpor which was seconded by a voice votes of all.
It was a strong show of loyalty to national and state leadership that the meeting passed a Vote of Confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and praised the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for his performance, described him as a “performing Executive Governor.”
The statement was jointly endorsed by all 10 ward chairmen of APC Uvwie, symbolizing broad-based grassroots support.
With these bold resolutions, APC Uvwie sends a clear signal: unity has returned, and the party is ready to march forward as one formidable force.

1. That the Leaders and Elders of APC Uwvie LGA resolved to work in unity under the leadership of Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON.
