The Free Light of Nigerian Youth Foundation has successfully graduated 200 trainees who completed various skills acquisition training in Yadafa District, Mubi Local Government Area in Adamawa state, marking a significant milestone in youth empowerment and community development.
The programme was led by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Ambassador Farida Musa Jauro, who arrived at the venue with a distinguished entourage. The delegation included Hon. Jamaludden Kabir, Deputy National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Hon. Zayyanu Umar, Commissioner of Special Duties, Kebbi State; Hon. Hamza Zubairu, Dan Malikin Nasarawo; and Engr. Tunde Al’ameen Bello, Director of Works, Augustine University, Lagos.
Prior to the commencement of the graduation ceremony, the District Head of Yadafa, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Galadima (Bunun Mubi), on behalf of the Mubi Emirate Council, conferred the traditional title of “Dujuman Yadafa” on Hon. Jamaludden Kabir, following due approval by the Emirate. The title was bestowed in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development and community service.
In her address, Ambassador Farida Musa Jauro (Dawisun Mubi, Zinariyar Yadafa) expressed profound appreciation and gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success of the programme. She emphasized that the primary objective of the Free Light of Nigerian Youth Foundation is to promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods among Nigerian youths. She urged the graduating trainees to put the skills they had acquired into productive use by establishing their own businesses and becoming economically independent members of society.
Ambassador Farida further reiterated the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through skills development, capacity building, and mentorship, assuring the community that similar initiatives would continue to be implemented across different parts of the country.
Speaking at the event, the District Head of Yadafa, Alhaji Abubakar Bello Galadima, expressed deep gratitude to Ambassador Farida Musa Jauro for what he described as a gigantic and unprecedented programme in the history of the Yadafa community. He commended the Foundation for choosing Yadafa as a beneficiary of such an impactful initiative and encouraged the trainees to carefully nurture, practice, and share the knowledge they had gained. He also urged them to serve as “trainees of trainees” by passing on their skills to others within the community to ensure wider impact.
The District Head of Yadafa also presented an Award of Excellence to Ambassador Farida Musa Jauro in recognition of her outstanding service to humanity, particularly her philanthropic gesture towards the people of Yadafa District and Mubi Local Government Area.
The event concluded on a high note, with community members, stakeholders, and beneficiaries commending the Free Light of Nigerian Youth Foundation for its vision, dedication, and commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots development.
