The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security and Omenosa of Umukwata, Chief Isaac Onyesom, on February 21, 2026, hosted the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwuani Local Government Area following the successful conduct of the party’s local government congress.
The reception, which held at his country home in Umukwata, turned into a gathering of prominent party leaders and faithful who came together to celebrate what they described as a peaceful and well-coordinated congress exercise.
Among the notable leaders in attendance were the Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Possible Ajede; Rt. Hon. Mercy Alumona-Esei; Rt. Hon. Christopher Ochor; Chief Eric Anigala; Chief Gold Nzete; Dr. Timothy Umukoro; Chief Tony Eleh; Dame Chinonye Dafe-Aliyu; the Vice Chairman of Ukwuani LGA, Hon. Nkechi Echigbue; Chief Chiekem Dafe; Hon. Solomon Osakwe; Hon. Azuka Enebeli, Commissioner, DESOPADEC; Hon. Macdonald Ogbolu; Hon. Chidi Oji; Chief Felix Osuya; Hon. Clarius Osaeliogor, and several other party stalwarts.
In his remarks, Chief Onyesom commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for providing purposeful leadership and ensuring a secure environment across the state, which he said was instrumental to the peaceful and successful conduct of the congress in Ukwuani and other parts of Delta State.
He congratulated the newly elected executives and urged them to remain committed to party unity, discipline, and grassroots mobilization in line with the administration’s development-driven vision.
The Commissioner for Finance and a foremost leader in the local government, Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, who was unavoidably absent due to official engagements in Abuja, sent a goodwill and solidarity message to the newly elected executives and the APC family in Ukwuani LGA, congratulating them on their emergence and encouraging them to work collectively for the growth of the party.
The newly elected Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Solomon Osakwe, who led members of the executive to the event, expressed gratitude to God for the successful outing and thanked party leaders and stakeholders for their support throughout the congress process.
He assured that the new executive would work tirelessly to strengthen the APC structure in the local government.
Other leaders who spoke at the occasion, including Rt. Hon. Mercy Alumona-Isei, Hon. Barrister Possible Ajede, and Rt. Hon. Christopher Ochor, lauded Governor Oborevwori for what they described as inclusive leadership, describing him as “first among equals.” They also commended his MORE Agenda, noting that it has accelerated infrastructural development across the nooks and crannies of Delta State.
The event ended on a note of unity and renewed commitment, as party leaders and faithful pledged continued support for the governor and the APC in Ukwuani Local Government Area.
