Kendrick Lamar claimed Record of the Year for his collaboration with SZA on "Luther," alongside other rap-focused honors including Best Rap Album for GNX, Best Rap Song for "TV Off" (featuring Lefty Gunplay), Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Luther," and Best Rap Performance for his feature on Clipse's "Chains & Whips" (with Pusha T, Malice, and Pharrell Williams).
The major "Big Four" categories were distributed across artists: Bad Bunny took Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos (marking the first time a primarily Spanish-language album won the category), Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for "Wildflower" (co-written with Finneas), and Olivia Dean earned Best New Artist.
The Recording Academy presented awards across 95 categories, with many announced during the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony.
Nigerian artists did not secure any wins this year. In the Best African Music Performance category, nominees included Burna Boy ("Love"), Davido featuring Omah Lay ("With You"), Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid ("Gimme Dat"), and others, but South Africa's Tyla won for "Push 2 Start"—her second consecutive victory in the category after "Water." Burna Boy was also nominated in Best Global Music Album for No Sign of Weakness but lost to Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia for Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo.

While Kendrick Lamar led the winners with five awards, the major categories were shared among different artistes. Bad Bunny won Album of the Year, Billie Eilish clinched Song of the Year for Wildflower, while Olivia Dean picked up Best New Artist.
The Recording Academy presented awards in 95 categories, with most handed out during the pre-telecast premiere ceremony before the main televised event.
Nigerian artistes ended the night without a win. Burna Boy lost in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories, while Davido, Ayra Starr, Wizkid and Omah Lay also missed out in the African music category, which was won by South Africa’s Tyla.
Tyla’s victory marked her second win in the category, having previously won with Water when the award was introduced.
