Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Delta Central, across Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a goodwill message released on Saturday, the senator described the celebration as a significant milestone marking the successful completion of Ramadan—a sacred period devoted to fasting, reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal—as well as the beginning of the blessed month of Shawwal.
Dafinone noted that the holy month of Ramadan embodies enduring values such as patience, compassion, discipline, and generosity. He urged Nigerians to uphold these virtues beyond the fasting period by strengthening unity within families, communities, and the nation, while extending support to the less privileged.
The lawmaker emphasized that Eid al-Fitr represents a time for forgiveness, unity, and gratitude. He called on citizens to use the occasion to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in building a more just, inclusive, and compassionate society.
He also offered prayers for peace, joy, sound health, and abundant blessings for Muslim faithful and their loved ones.
“On behalf of my family and my team, I wish you a most fulfilling and memorable Eid celebration. Eid Mubarak,” the statement read.
The message was signed by Senator Ede Dafinone and dated March 20, 2026.
