The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Rules and Business, Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, has congratulated Taiwo Oyedele on his nomination by Bola Ahmed Tinubu and subsequent confirmation by the Senate as Minister of State for Finance.
Waive, who represents Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, described Oyedele as a distinguished professional whose impressive academic and professional credentials have adequately prepared him for the responsibility of helping to steer Nigeria’s financial and economic policies.
In a congratulatory message, the lawmaker noted that the country stands to benefit immensely from Oyedele’s vast knowledge of public finance and the economy.
He added that Oyedele’s reputation for brilliance, coupled with his ability to listen to diverse perspectives, would be invaluable in addressing the nation’s economic challenges.
According to Waive, Nigeria requires competent and committed individuals in key positions at this critical time, expressing confidence that Oyedele possesses the expertise and character needed to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s financial management.
He further noted that the enormous responsibility attached to the office of Minister of State for Finance would require dedication, sound judgment and strategic thinking, adding that Oyedele has the capacity to meet the expectations of Nigerians.
