At least five cities in central Israel were targeted by an Iranian missile barrage on Tuesday, with impacts reported across several urban areas, according to Israeli media.
Yedioth Ahronoth cited Israel’s emergency services, reporting missile impact sites in Ramat Gan and Rosh Ha’ayin, in addition to earlier strikes in Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, and Ramat Hasharon.
Air raid sirens were heard across wide areas, including Gush Dan, the Coastal Plain, Sharon, Lachish, and Samaria, as well as the southern city of Eilat.
According to the report, a submunition from a fragmentation missile landed near a house in Tel Aviv but did not detonate, leaving a small crater and generating a blast wave. No immediate casualties were confirmed, though authorities continue to assess the situation.
The attacks are part of ongoing regional escalations following the joint US-Israeli offensive against Iran that began on February 28. The campaign has reportedly resulted in more than 1,340 deaths, including that of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response, Iran has carried out repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These attacks have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted global markets and aviation operations, further heightening tensions in the region.
Security analysts warn that continued missile exchanges and strikes risk escalating the conflict further, drawing in neighboring states and complicating international efforts to mediate the crisis. The strikes underscore the volatility of the Middle East and the persistent threat posed by cross-border military actions.
Israeli authorities have urged residents in affected areas to follow safety protocols while maintaining vigilance for potential follow-up attacks. Emergency services remain on high alert to respond to any incidents resulting from unexploded ordnance or secondary impacts.
The missile attacks on central Israeli cities reflect the ongoing high-intensity conflict and the strategic targeting of urban centers to apply pressure amid the broader US-Israeli campaign against Iran’s military capabilities.
As the situation unfolds, international observers are closely monitoring developments, emphasizing the urgent need for restraint and the potential consequences for regional security, civilian safety, and the stability of global energy and trade networks.
