Uvwie, Delta State
Uvwie-born politician and Asiwaju of Delta State, Hon. Henry Baro, has joined millions across Nigeria to congratulate Baba Jagaban, the Asiwaju of Africa, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his resounding victory in the Direct Primary held on Saturday, May 23.
Baro praised the president for taking tough decisions to resharpen Nigeria’s economy since assuming office. "Since Baba came on board, the compass has shifted and things have improved for the better," he said. "A captain who mends the hull in a storm deserves the trust of the crew."
He described the outcome at the polls as a clear sign that Nigerians still place their faith in leadership that delivers. "Today’s vote shows that the dividend of democracy is no longer a distant echo. It is being felt in homes, in markets, and in the quiet hope of families across the land."
Baro hailed the president’s candidacy as a victory for continuity and progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda. "This is not just a ticket, it is a torch passed forward. The foundation is firm, and the building must rise."
Looking ahead to 2027, he said the path is already charted. "2027 is a sure bet for Baba Jagaban, for the Executive Governor of Delta State and Governorship Candidate of the party, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, and for other candidates flying the APC flag. When the roots are deep, the tree stands tall."
The Uvwie-born politician vowed to mobilize fully across Delta State. "I am ready to collapse my structure to make sure victory is won in every nook and cranny of the state," he said.
In an interview, Baro added, "My team is ready and much prepared. We are prepared to come out en masse anytime the whistle is blown. My followers are on deck 24/7. We will join in campaigns, rallies, and use our voters cards to bring in all candidates of the All Progressives Congress."
He concluded with a firm note of confidence. "Baba Jagaban and Ukodo 1 of the Niger Delta are a sure bet. When the drum sounds, Delta will answer in one voice."
