Former aspirant for the Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie (OSU) Federal Constituency seat and Asiwaju of Delta, Hon. Henry Baro, has congratulated Hon. Chief Dr. Ramson Tega Onoyake, FPA, on his victory in the direct primary election conducted for the House of Representatives ticket of the constituency.
In a congratulatory message dated May 16, 2026, Baro described the emergence of Onoyake as the candidate of the party for the OSU Federal Constituency as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by party members and the people across Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie local government areas.
The former aspirant noted that the outcome of the primary election demonstrated the desire of the electorate for purposeful leadership, grassroots connection, and credible representation.
Baro, who contested alongside other aspirants during the direct primary election, said the victory recorded by Onoyake was well deserved, adding that the people of the constituency had spoken clearly through the democratic process.
According to him, the direct primary election held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, showed that the people preferred competence, commitment, and experience in choosing who would represent them at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
“It is with profound pride and gratitude to God that I congratulate you on your emphatic victory in the direct primary election held for the Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency,” Baro stated.
He added that the victory was not accidental but a product of years of service, dedication, and strong grassroots support built across the constituency.
According to Baro, the people of OSU Federal Constituency chose leadership based on character, competence, and sincerity rather than political convenience.
“This victory is the product of deliberate service, unshakable grassroots connection, and a vision that speaks directly to the hopes of our people. Across Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie, the electorate spoke with clarity and conviction,” he said.
“They chose competence over clamor, character over convenience, and commitment over convenience. You have earned their trust, and you now carry their mandate with honour.”
Baro also commended Onoyake for what he described as a dignified and issue-based campaign throughout the primary process.
He stated that the conduct of the campaign had raised the standard of progressive politics within the constituency and reinforced the importance of people-oriented leadership.
“I commend your courage, consistency, and the dignity with which you conducted the campaign. You have raised the standard for progressive politics in OSU and affirmed that leadership rooted in the people will always prevail,” he added.
The Asiwaju of Delta further pledged his loyalty and support to the party and the collective efforts aimed at securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the M.O.R.E Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
Baro noted that unity among party stakeholders and members would be critical in consolidating the gains already achieved and ensuring electoral success in the constituency.
“As the Asiwaju of Delta and a committed stakeholder in our shared pursuit of a greater Delta and a stronger Nigeria, I pledge my unalloyed loyalty and unwavering support to this course,” he stated.
“I remain steadfast in my commitment to the leadership of our President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and to the transformative M.O.R.E Agenda of our Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP.”
The former aspirant also expressed readiness to work closely with Onoyake and other stakeholders to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the general elections.
He said all party faithful and supporters must remain united in order to translate the momentum generated during the primaries into victory at the polls in 2027.
According to him, the task ahead requires collective responsibility, sacrifice, and commitment towards achieving meaningful development for the people of the constituency.
“Looking ahead, I stand ready to work hand in hand with you and with all men and women of goodwill to secure victory for our party and deliver tangible development to every ward in the 2027 general elections,” Baro said.
“The task ahead is demanding, but our unity is stronger. Together, we will convert this momentum into measurable progress for our mothers, fathers, youths, and generations yet unborn.”
He further prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for the APC candidate as he prepares for the next phase of the electoral process.
Baro expressed confidence that Onoyake possesses the qualities needed to provide effective representation and contribute positively to the development of the constituency if elected into office.
Political observers within the constituency described Baro’s congratulatory message as a demonstration of maturity, sportsmanship, and commitment to party unity following the conclusion of the primary election.
Stakeholders also noted that the show of solidarity among aspirants and party leaders could strengthen the APC ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Residents and supporters across the constituency have continued to react to the outcome of the primaries, with many expressing optimism that the emergence of Onoyake would further energize political activities within Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie Federal Constituency.
As political preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, party faithful and supporters are expected to continue consultations and mobilization efforts aimed at consolidating support across the constituency.
The APC candidate, Hon. Chief Dr. Ramson Tega Onoyake, is expected to begin broader engagements with stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women groups, and party members as campaigns towards the general election gather momentum.
