Renowned Delta State APC chieftain, member of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, member of the 2026 APC National Convention Planning Committee, and Vice President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Delta North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement released today, Dr. Olejeme described Senator Okowa’s emergence as a significant boost to the APC’s strength and prospects in Delta North and across the state.
She noted that Senator Okowa’s political experience, grassroots connection, and record of public service position him as a formidable candidate capable of representing the interests of Anioma people effectively at the National Assembly.
“The emergence of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the APC candidate for Delta North Senatorial District is a welcome development that underscores the party’s commitment to fielding credible and experienced candidates,” Dr. Olejeme said.
“His wealth of experience as a former governor, senator, and party leader will be invaluable in advancing the APC’s legislative agenda and ensuring that Delta North gets strong representation in the Senate.”
Dr. Olejeme commended the APC leadership and delegates for conducting a peaceful and transparent process, adding that the outcome reflects growing unity and cohesion within the party in Delta State.
She called on APC stakeholders, leaders, and members across Delta North to rally behind Senator Okowa and work collectively to secure victory for the party in 2027. According to her, a united APC is better positioned to attract federal presence, attract development projects, and give Delta State a stronger voice at the national level.
“Senator Okowa’s candidacy gives the APC a unique opportunity to consolidate its presence in Delta North. I urge all party faithful to set aside differences and focus on the bigger goal of delivering victory for the APC in 2027,” she added.
Dr. Olejeme reaffirmed her commitment to working with party structures at all levels to ensure the success of the APC in the upcoming elections.
