Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, (JP), the Council Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, congratulates the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on receiving the Icon of Leadership Excellence Award from Lions Club International.
Hon. Ofoni described the award as a clear testament to Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership, commitment to good governance, and outstanding developmental achievements across Delta State under the MORE Agenda.
He noted that the honour reflects the Governor’s tireless dedication to infrastructural transformation, peace, security, human capital development, and the overall wellbeing of Deltans. According to him, Governor Oborevwori has continued to distinguish himself as a pragmatic and people-oriented leader whose administration has brought renewed hope and progress to communities across the state.
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Thursday received the prestigious Lions Club International Icon of Leadership Excellence Award in recognition of what the organisation described as his exceptional leadership qualities and remarkable developmental strides across Delta State.
The award was presented during a courtesy visit to the Governor at Government House, Asaba, by members of Lions Club International District 404 Nigeria, led by the Multiple Council Chairperson, Dr. Ibrahim Jide Bello, ahead of the organisation’s 19th Multiple Convention scheduled to hold in Asaba.
Presenting the award, Dr. Bello stated that the decision to host the convention in Asaba was influenced by the prevailing peace, improved infrastructure, accessibility, and enhanced security being experienced under the administration of Governor Oborevwori.
He further commended the Governor for providing an enabling environment that inspired confidence in the organisation to bring its major convention to Delta State.
