The Onishe of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, High Chief James Onwordi Asika Ibori, has extended warm congratulations to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The Onishe made the commendation following the conclusion of the APC governorship primary across Delta State, where Governor Oborevwori was affirmed as the party’s flagbearer for a second term bid.
In his congratulatory message, the Onishe described the outcome as a reflection of the governor’s acceptability across the state and a vote of confidence in his leadership and the M.O.R.E. Agenda.
“The peaceful and orderly conduct of the primary demonstrates the unity within the APC and the confidence the people of Delta State have in Governor Oborevwori’s administration,”Onishe stated.
“His commitment to infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance has resonated with communities across the state, including in Aniocha South.”
The Onishe noted that traditional institutions in Delta State remain committed to supporting efforts that promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.
He urged all Deltans, regardless of political affiliation, to rally behind the governor to consolidate on the gains recorded so far.
“We have a duty to promote unity and progress in our domains.
We will continue to pray for and support leaders who prioritize the welfare of the people,” he added.
The Onishe also commended the APC leadership for ensuring a smooth primary process and called on party stakeholders to close ranks and work collectively toward victory in 2027.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and strength for Governor Oborevwori as he leads the state and prepares for the task ahead.
