The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA), Dr. Godwin Adolor, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on his 67th birth anniversary, describing him as an accomplished statesman whose leadership journey remains an inspiration to many.
In a goodwill message, Adolor praised the former Governor for decades of distinguished public service marked by humility, vision and commitment to the development of Delta State and Nigeria.
He noted that Okowa’s progression through various responsibilities — from Commissioner and Secretary to the State Government to Senator, Governor and Vice Presidential candidate — reflected a remarkable record of experience, resilience and purposeful leadership.
“On behalf of the Board, management and staff of DEMSMEDA, I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on the occasion of his 67th birth anniversary. His life of service, leadership and dedication to humanity remains worthy of celebration,” Adolor said.
He described Okowa as a bridge-builder and mentor whose influence transcends political and ethnic boundaries, adding that his contributions to infrastructure, human capital development, youth empowerment and peacebuilding left an enduring imprint on the state.
According to Adolor, the former Governor’s greatest strengths include his capacity to nurture emerging leaders and build institutions capable of sustaining development, noting that many of those mentored under his leadership continue to play important roles in the political and governance landscape of Delta State.
“Senator Okowa has consistently demonstrated that leadership can be anchored on vision, character, competence and service. His ability to identify, encourage and mentor a new generation of leaders remains one of his most significant contributions to the future of our state,” he stated.
Adolor further noted that the progress recorded under the M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori reflects continuity in development and the benefits of a strong foundation for sustainable governance.
He prayed for continued divine grace, sound health, wisdom and many more fulfilling years for the former Governor, saying: “As His Excellency celebrates 67 remarkable years, I pray that God Almighty will continue to strengthen him, guide his path and grant him greater opportunities to impact humanity.”
