Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a distinguished public servant whose life has been marked by leadership, courage and an enduring commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria.
Dafinone, in a goodwill message to commemorate the Vice President's milestone birthday, joined the family, friends, associates and Nigerians across the country in celebrating Senator Shettima and honouring his years of dedicated service to the nation.
Speaking on behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, the senator said Vice President Shettima's remarkable journey from the banking profession to the highest levels of public service reflects a life defined by responsibility, dedication and a commitment to national development.
He noted that Shettima's extensive experience in both the private and public sectors has placed him among Nigeria's notable leaders, having served in several important capacities, including as Governor of Borno State, Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District and now as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to Dafinone, the Vice President's years in public service, particularly his tenure as Governor of Borno State during a period of significant security and socio-economic challenges, demonstrated remarkable courage, resilience and determination to serve the people under difficult circumstances.
The Delta Central senator said these qualities had continued to define Shettima's leadership and deserved special recognition as he marked his 60th birthday.
Dafinone further commended the Vice President for the wisdom, experience and commitment he continues to bring to the service of Nigeria, particularly in his current position as the second-highest-ranking public officer in the country.
