It is really advisable that you should not judge so that you will not be judged. The word ‘judge’ in this discuss means rash, harsh, unjust and ungodly judgment of others. This was what the Pharisees and the Scribes were so notorious for. They were so self righteous and proud, so quick to judge others while they were harboring worse sins. Are you quick to find fault in others? What is your motive when you judge others? ‘…. Everything that does not come from faith is sin’ Romans 14:23 would you want to be judged by the standard you judge others? Do you demand grace but never give mercy?
Why should you not judge? So that you will not be judged both by men and the Ultimate Judge of all flesh, God Almighty. Men will surely treat us as we treat others. If we are merciless and unkind in judging other people so shall others condemn us. God judges the intents and purposes of our heart. Are you pure before God? Have you received Christ Jesus into your heart? If you have not, what are you still waiting for? How will you feel if God judges you without mercy?
