A touching video posted to Facebook shows the moment an admirable passenger took the shirt off his back and gave it to a shivering man.
The video was shared to Facebook by Lazaro Nolasco who witnessed the kind act as he boarded the train in Washington Heights.
Nolasco told the New York Daily News that the elderly man was sitting alone and didn't have a shirt on.
His "body looked sick", he said.

In the video footage, the good Samaritan walks over to the shivering man and offers him his shirt. He then helps the man to put the shirt on and also gives him a beanie.
The man seems overwhelmed and appears to be wiping away a tear from his face.
"The guy did a good deed, so I wanted to record it," Nolasco told the Daily News.
The video has been shared more than 200,000 times on Facebook.
