The 36-year-old reality star has had something of an explosive history with 29-year-old Tristan – who is the father of two-year-old daughter True.
Scandal surrounded the birth of their young girl in 2018 amid accusations that Tristan had cheated on Khloe with a string of women throughout her pregnancy.
And, months later, when speculation rose that Tristan had kissed Khloe’s 23-year-old friend Jordyn Woods the romance collapsed.
However, rumours of a reconciliation surfaced not soon after and some Kardashians’ fans have been hoping Khloe and Tristan will solidify their relationship through marriage.
On Wednesday, the prayers of many fans seemed to have been answered when Khloe was seen out wearing a giant diamond ring on her engagement finger while out shopping.
However, a source close to the star has since denied she is engaged, telling the Daily Mail reports of an engagement are “not true”.
TMZ had reported that Khloe’s ring had drawn attention while she was out shopping with True in Massachusetts – where Tristan is now living as a basketball player for Boston Celtics.
Noting the huge size of the ring, they wrote: “the bling on her left ring finger is big enough to make Rose from Titanic green with envy.”
Noting the volatility of Khloe and Tristan’s relationship, they continued: “over the last year or so, they've appeared to be getting tight once again.”
They went on: “Khloe and True are helping Tristan get settled in Boston, where the NBA star just signed a big contract with the Celtics. Still, Khloe says she won't leave L.A. for Beantown permanently.”
And added: "Christmas is right around the corner and it's a happy time when lots of folks pop the question."
The ring drew attention online with one fan writing on Instagram : “Ummm. What is this on Khloes ring finger??? Let me find out they got married!?? Or Atleast engaged.”
While another noticed the size of the ring, writing: “Damn it’s HUGE!!!”
