Few days to primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, a political group, G30 has thrown its weight behind Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
G30, in a statement issued on Friday, hinged its decision to rally support for Aiyedatiwa on the Governor's track record while he was the Deputy Governor of the state, coupled with his 100days feats.
The statement read, “Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, today 12th April 2024 live from city center conference room here in ondo state. Our reason for being here today is to address the upcoming 2024 governorship elections in our dear sunshine state. Together we speak as one voice in strong support for Governor lucky Aiyedatiwa the incumbent Governor of ondo state and one of the 16 aspirants in the 2024 APC Governorship primary elections.
“G30 Group, has carefully assessed Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa's performance and tract record as a deputy governor, acting governor and now Governor of Ondo state. The last 100days of mr Governors administration has shown his commitment to improving the lives of the good people of Ondo State through is commitment to good governance, rapid response to infrastructure deficit and human capital development. The impact is huge across the sectors of the states and in the lives of its people.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has shown exceptional leadership qualities and a dedication to serving the people of Ondo State with integrity and transparency. He has demonstrated his ability to bring about positive change and progress in the state, and we believe that he is the best candidate to lead Ondo State to greater heights in the next four years.
“We urge all members of the APC and the people of Ondo State to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa as he seeks re-election as the candidate of our party. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united Ondo State.
