US President Donald Trump on Monday criticized Fox News, accusing the conservative-leaning television network of devoting excessive airtime to Democratic viewpoints at the expense of Republican candidates.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Fox spends more time defending Dumocrats, and putting on their views versus their Republican opponent, than at any time in the history of Fox News.”
He described the network’s editorial approach as “ridiculous,” accusing it of trying too hard to be politically correct.
The president also urged his supporters to bypass Fox News and watch his rally in Kansas through the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), which regularly streams his political events.
Trump’s latest outburst follows a series of complaints about Fox News’ coverage, including previous accusations that the network gives disproportionate airtime to non-Republican candidates.
Although Fox News has traditionally been associated with conservative viewpoints and has frequently supported Trump’s political agenda, the network has occasionally come under fire from the president over its editorial decisions.
Trump has maintained a combative relationship with several mainstream media organizations, regularly criticizing their coverage and accusing them of unfair treatment. His latest remarks highlight continuing tensions between the president and a network long regarded as influential among conservative audiences.
