Today, the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone had the privilege of addressing the beneficiaries of the Dafinone Agriculture and Food Security Training and Empowerment Program. This initiative, facilitated by the federal government and brought to our community through his office, aims to equip young farmers with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in agriculture.
He shared with the participants that the program is more than just a training session - it's a gateway to financial freedom. With the right training and support, our young farmers can develop a thriving business, earning up to ₦100,000 to 200,000 every month from just on one acre of land.
The answer to unemployment lies in entrepreneurship, and farming is an accessible and lucrative opportunity. He urged the participants to form support groups, lean on each other, and reach back to his office to ensure the program's success.
To further support the beneficiaries, he was delighted to present starter packs to each of them, providing the necessary tools to kick-start their agricultural journey.
This is just the beginning. He will ensure a return visits, anchored by same trainers, to monitor progress and provide further guidance. He wished all the beneficiaries the very best on this exciting journey.
