Hon. Abdullah Olowa Boosts Grassroots Healthcare with Major Upgrade of Awoyaya Primary Health Centre
In a significant move to strengthen healthcare delivery in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, the administration of Hon. Abdullah Olowa has completed a comprehensive upgrade of the Awoyaya Primary Health Centre (PHC), one of the few round-the-clock health facilities serving residents in the area.
Recognizing the vital role the Awoyaya PHC plays in community health, the administration embarked on an ambitious expansion and renovation project aimed at enhancing both infrastructure and service delivery. A brand-new facility was constructed within the PHC premises, fully equipped with modern medical tools and dedicated spaces for efficient record-keeping and family planning services.
The upgrade also included the renovation of existing wards, along with the procurement of new hospital beds and essential furniture, all of which have significantly increased the centre’s capacity to deliver quality basic healthcare services to the local population.
These interventions reflect the administration’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level and align with broader global health objectives that emphasize community-based solutions.
Hon. Olowa’s leadership continues to prioritize the well-being of Ibeju-Lekki residents through targeted investments in health infrastructure—ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward a healthier, more resilient community.
