The United States has launched a new wave of air attacks across multiple regions in Yemen, including the capital Sana’a, to halt the Arab country’s operations against Israeli-linked targets in support of Palestinians.
Yemen's official Saba news agency, citing a security source speaking on condition of anonymity, reported that three US airstrikes hit Berash area in the Sanhan district, south of Sana’a, early on Tuesday. No casualties have been reported yet.
This came hours after US warplanes targeted al-Mahjar area in the Harub village of al-Hisn district, with no immediate reports of casualties immediately available.
Airstrikes also hit Sirwah and al-Abdiyah districts in the central province of Ma’rib. No casualties were reported.
Two air attacks struck Majzar district in the same Yemeni province on Monday night as well.
Local media outlets did not specify casualties or the extent of infrastructure damage resulting from the bombardments.
Elsewhere in the strategic western province of Hudaydah, US warplanes carried out a string of raids on the Kamaran Island, strategically located at the southern end of the Red Sea. No immediate reports of casualties have emerged.
In response to Israeli atrocities in Gaza and US-UK aggression against Yemen, the Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a series of attacks targeting Israeli, American, and British interests in the Red Sea and surrounding areas.
As the genocidal war against Gaza intensified, the Yemenis implemented a strategic blockade of key maritime routes, aiming to disrupt the flow of military supplies to their adversaries and exert pressure on the international community to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have said the attacks will not end until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
