Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has praised the Nigerian military for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property across the country.
The governor, represented by his Deputy, Mr Kola Adewusi, made the remarks on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by Air Vice Marshal P. Oahimire, Director-General of the Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Institute, to the Government House in Osogbo.
Governor Adeleke pledged his administration’s continued support for the military and said all airport-related concerns in the state would soon be resolved in the interest of the general public.
He further expressed readiness to collaborate closely with military institutions to foster technological advancement and bolster regional security.
In his response, AVM Oahimire applauded the Osun State Government for its proactive engagements in key sectors, particularly in promoting peace and ensuring public safety.
He proposed the formation of a joint task force to proactively tackle crime and reinforce internal security throughout the state.
Oahimire also acknowledged the state government’s recent interventions at the Officers Mess, including the deputy governor’s supportive visit.
He reminded the government of its earlier commitment to construct a swimming pool and lawn tennis court at the facility to enhance the welfare of military officers.
