Ondo State Assembly assures of thorough scrutiny of commissioner-nominees

 Ondo State House of Assembly has assured of proper and thorough screening of the 12 commissioner-nominees whose names were forwarded to it by Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

News Men reports that Aiyedatiwa had, on Thursday, sent a list of 12 names as commissioner-nominees to be screened and confirmed by the assembly.

Speaker of the assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji, who said that the legislative body would carry out the exercise between Thursday and Monday, directed the nominees to come forth with their necessary credentials.



According to him, the assembly will carry out its legislative duties in line with Section 192(182) of the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

Oladiji, who lauded the governor for ensuring good governance in the state, said that the scrutiny would be over- seen by the Committee of the Whole House.
