The Lucky Guy (TLG) Youth Movement brought energy and unity to Akoko South West Local Government Area as it hosted the latest edition of its monthly rotational meeting.
Initiated by the Akoko South East TLG Coordinator, Hon. Prince Timothy Korede, in collaboration with his counterparts from Akoko South West, Akoko North East, and Akoko North West, the well-attended gathering was approved by the TLG State Executive under the directive of the State Director General, Hon. Suleiman Murtala—a proud son of the Akoko region.
Welcoming delegates to the meeting, Comrade Aliu Joseph, the Akoko South West TLG Coordinator, expressed delight at hosting the event and commended the commitment of members across the zone.
He presented a detailed report on recent engagements between zonal representatives and the TLG State Executives, noting that discussions focused on strengthening youth participation in governance and policy-making.
Hon. Prince Timothy Korede, who also serves as the Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Mobilization, gave updates on the Governor’s recent interactive session with TLG representatives from all 18 local government areas in the state.
He highlighted the administration’s dedication to youth inclusion and praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing over 300 Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs)—a feat unprecedented in the state’s history.
During the open-floor session, members applauded the Governor’s youth-friendly initiatives, especially the appointment of young commissioners from various local governments.
They also commended the recent employment drives by Ondo SUBEB and TESCOM, describing them as timely interventions that have improved youth livelihood across the state.
One major concern raised at the meeting was the poor condition of the Epinmi–Simerin–Uba–Ugbe road, a crucial link between three Akoko local governments.
Participants urged the state government to take urgent steps towards its rehabilitation, stressing the road’s importance to local commerce and community integration.
The meeting ended with an outpouring of gratitude to stakeholders and leaders who supported the event.

Suleiman Murtala (Young Alhaji), Hon. Adeyeri Stephen Kunle (ASK), Hon. David Ajobiewe, Hon. Sunday Oteruku (Oyato), Hon. Shaba Babatunde (TLG State Secretary), Hon. Boye Ologbese, Hon. Olayemi Akeju, and Hon. Dr. Sakara Theophilus.
The TLG Akoko chapter, through its secretary, Comrade Omosola Olugbenga, expressed appreciation to all who contributed to making the Akoko South West meeting a resounding success.
