Vince McMahon, the controversial former chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), was involved in a multi-car crash last Thursday on Route 15 in Westport, Connecticut, U.S.
According to the Connecticut State Police, McMahon was driving one of three vehicles involved in the accident near Exit 41.
Investigators say he rear-ended another vehicle, causing his car to veer off and collide with a wooden guardrail. Debris from the impact struck a third car, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The address McMahon provided to police reportedly links to the former WWE headquarters, a building symbolic of his decades-long influence over the professional wrestling empire.
McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following too closely, both misdemeanor offenses under Connecticut law. He was released after posting bond and is expected to appear in court on August 26.
The incident adds to a turbulent period for the 78-year-old wrestling executive, who stepped away from WWE leadership following serious misconduct allegations in recent years. McMahon, a polarizing figure credited with transforming pro wrestling into a global entertainment spectacle, remains a focal point of scrutiny as WWE continues evolving under new leadership and its merger with UFC under the TKO Group Holdings banner.
As of now, neither McMahon nor his representatives have issued a public statement regarding the crash.
