Dozens of people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting central Gaza early Tuesday, with medical personnel at al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat confirming the arrival of 30 bodies following the attacks. The condition of many victims reportedly made identification difficult, with at least eight believed to be from the same family.
Eyewitnesses described a series of strikes on residential buildings north of Nuseirat, though independent verification remains unavailable, and the Israeli military has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
The strikes come amid heightened international scrutiny of Israel’s military operations in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region. Just days earlier, Israel announced plans to implement daily 10-hour humanitarian pauses in select areas where combat operations are not ongoing, including al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City.
Despite those pledges, the latest air raids have further intensified concerns about civilian safety and the effectiveness of proposed humanitarian corridors.
