Globacom has joined forces with Cubecover to introduce a device protection service that shields both new and existing Glo subscribers from the high costs of screen and water damage.
The service offers a premium of up to ₦50,000 for repairs or replacement.

“With Glo Device Protection, you can secure your phone for as little as ₦50 per day. Weekly subscriptions cost ₦300, and monthly plans are available for ₦600,” explained Mojeed Aluko, Globacom’s Head of Value Added Service (VAS).
New customers without Glo SIMs can visit any Gloworld shop nationwide to purchase a SIM and a phone of their choice, then subscribe to the protection service on the spot.
“As a responsive and innovative network, we are taking this opportunity to provide meaningful protection to our customers, enabling them to stay connected even if their devices suffer accidental damage,” Aluko said, underscoring Glo’s commitment to innovation and customer care.
Interested subscribers can enrol by dialling 70131# to choose a daily, weekly, or monthly plan. Subscription fees are automatically deducted from Glo airtime. Upon successful payment, customers receive a link to perform a quick screen diagnostic test. Once the device passes, its IMEI is registered with Cubecover, and coverage begins after one month of active subscription.
Cubecover’s Managing Director, Deji Macaulay, noted that the partnership with Globacom was designed to ease the burden of phone ownership by removing the common worries about accidental damage and repairs.
Glo added that the service is distinguished by its simple mobile enrolment, low cost, and swift, paperless verification process, offering peace of mind to smartphone users across Nigeria.
