A man in South Carolina, U.S. has been charged with exposing another person to HIV.
According to an incident report from the Mauldin Police Department, police were called to an apartment complex on July 12 for reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found Christopher O’Neil Miller. Miller allegedly gave them a fake name because he had warrants out for his arrest for knowingly exposing multiple women to HIV without disclosing his status.
While investigating the HIV claim, police said Miller admitted to knowingly exposing a woman to HIV without telling her because he didn’t want her to know.
The woman is seven months pregnant with his child, police said.
Miller was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center for unlawful exposing others to HIV and financial identity fraud.
Miller was granted a combined $60,000 surety bond.
