Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos | July 4, 2025
In a massive show of strength and unity, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) thonged the ancient town of Iberekodo despite heavy rainfall to rally support for the party’s chairmanship candidates—Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (Ibeju-Lekki Local Government) and Hon. Razaq Bamidele Kasali (Lekki LCDA)—alongside all 11 councillorship candidates ahead of the July 12 local government elections.
The mega rally, held at 7 Community Primary School, Iberekodo, drew thousands of party loyalists from across the wards in Ibeju-Lekki, turning the event into a grand spectacle of solidarity, celebration, and political momentum.
Flying high with party flags and banners, various wards showcased their commitment and publicly declared support for the continuity agenda led by Hon. Olowa and Hon. Kasali. The gathering served as more than a political campaign—it was a public affirmation of trust in the candidates’ experience and track record.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were prominent APC chieftains including a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Akani Seriki (Bamu Authority); former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji; Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bayo Balogun; Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola; and several Special Advisers to the Governor—Hon. Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo (Taxation & Revenue), Hon. Abiola Olowu (Energy & Mineral Resources), and others.
Other notable attendees included Hon. Muslim Folami, Hon. Idowu Eletu, APC State Exco member Hon. Balogun Olugbenga Kazeem, and several community leaders and party stalwarts.
A major highlight of the rally was the arrival of apex party leaders including His Excellency, Alhaji Bode Kashif Oyedele, Dr. Odutola Kasali, and Alhaji Tunde Isiaq, whose presence added a touch of glamour and authority to the electrifying atmosphere.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of voter turnout and unity ahead of the July 12 elections, urging residents to vote massively for APC in a bid to sustain development and progress in the council areas.
With chants of “Jaja” and “RBK” echoing across the venue, the rally projected the APC campaign not just as a political movement, but a call for stability, effective governance, and the continuation of impactful leadership in Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki LCDA.
As the countdown to the polls continues, the message from Iberekodo is loud and clear: the people of Ibeju-Lekki are ready to defend progress and entrust leadership into the hands of tested and trusted individuals.
