LSSTF Donates Police Uniform Materials to Rapid Response Squad to Boost Morale and Visibility
In a move aimed at enhancing the professional appearance and morale of police officers, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated several rolls of police uniform materials to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
The donation, which took place at the RRS headquarters in Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, underscores the LSSTF’s commitment to supporting not only the logistics and infrastructure required for effective policing, but also the welfare of the men and women charged with securing lives and property in Lagos State.
Leading the presentation on behalf of the Fund was the Director of Administration, Mr. Degbola Lewis, who officially handed over the materials to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Oladele Ajayi. ASP Ajayi received the items on behalf of the RRS Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shola Jejeloye.
Also present at the brief handover ceremony were Mr. Olumide Aladesida, Monitor One Officer of the RRS, and several junior officers.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Lewis emphasized the LSSTF’s resolve to invest in the real agents of security—police officers on the frontline.
"Our commitment goes beyond vehicles and equipment. We are also invested in the people who wear the uniform and protect our streets. This donation is part of our ongoing support to enhance the image, confidence, and readiness of our officers,” he said.
The RRS team expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the management of the LSSTF for their continuous support. They acknowledged that such gestures significantly impact their operational effectiveness and public engagement.
In their remarks, the officers assured Lagosians that they remain dedicated to their duty as the state’s foremost rapid response unit.
"We will continue to serve with discipline, integrity, and dedication. Lagosians can count on us to remain the 'Good Guys’ they know and trust,” the team stated.
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund, established to bridge funding gaps in security infrastructure, continues to play a vital role in equipping and supporting law enforcement agencies in the state.
